There will be three levels of membership - Founding Principal (no longer available) , General, and Associate. The rights and benefits of these different memberships vary. (Please note that these details have not yet been confirmed by the AAF Association Board and are subject to change. The Association expects that membership classes will be approved by the end of March, 2000.)

Founding Principal Members are the founding members. This class of membership is closed to new members.

General Members:

• may appoint voting representatives to each of the AAF Association committees
• may propose new extensions and additions to the AAF Specifications
• receive electronic copies of all AAF specifications and publications
• receive support for the AAF specification and associated Software Development Kit

Cost is $5,000 per year.

Associate Members:

• may appoint non-voting representatives to each of the AAF Association committees
• receive electronic copies of all AAF specifications and publications
• receive support for the AAF specification and associated Software Development Kit

Cost is $2,000 per year.
