LOCATION
Summary of meeting locations:
14 November, Wednesday: BBC Television Centre, B142, Basement,
15 November, Thursday: BBC Television Centre, Meeting Room 5, sixth floor
16 November, Friday: BBC Media Centre, Board Room, third floor
See location diagram below showing Television Centre and Media Centre location relative to White City tube station. Television Centre is literally across the road from the tube station; you can't miss it. Media Centre is across the road, then two minutes walk to the right. Please take care when walking on Wood Lane. As is common in many big cities, we occasionally hear of phone or laptop theft from a BBC staff member. Please keep your equipment out of sight until you are in the BBC buildings.
Registration:
On arrival each day, go to reception in the correct building and tell them you are attending the AMWA meeting. You will be signed in according to the registration list. Please wait in reception to be collected and taken to the meeting room. Refreshment breaks and lunch will be provided all three days of meetings.
Dial in facilities:
There will be speakerphones in the meeting rooms to enable dialing in. See agenda items marked "DIAL IN" where I expect to activate and use the speakerphone. Please let Phil Tudor know if you are interested in dialing in to other parts of the meeting. The dial in details are:
Calling from the UK: 0845 2450555
Calling internationally: +44 1452 560425
Code: 531567#
Internet access:
There may be Internet access on Friday in the Media Centre; currently working on it. If you have 3G mobile I believe there are public services that cover the BBC buildings. There should be at least one networked BBC PC in the room at all times.
BBC Television Centre is across the road from White City tube station, to your left as you exit. The Media Centre is a two minute walk along Wood Lane, across the road and to your right as you exit White City tube station. The Media Village consists of three buildings (BBC White City, BBC Media Centre and BBC Broadcast Centre); the Media Centre is the front building on the
left hand side as you approach.
