Located in the heart of downtown Santa Fe, Hotel Loretto is at the edge of The Plaza and walking distance to art galleries, museums, historic sites, fine restaurants, shopping, and the city's famed "Artist Row."
Guest accommodations are distinctively decorated with vibrant textures, hand carved wood furnishings, and Native American art. Standard room features include telephones with voicemail and fax/modem dataports, functional work desks, in-room coffeemakers, and numerous other guest amenities. Hotel offerings include two restaurants - Nellie's and Phast Phannie's - the Lobby Bar, concierge services, specialty shops, beauty salon/barber shop, and a heated outdoor pool.
Hotel Loretto is a combination of luxury and legend. Built on the site of the former Loretto Academy, the Loretto Chapel has been a Santa Fe Landmark for more than 100 years. It features the "Miraculous Staircase" that according to legend was built by an anonymous carpenter in answer to the prayers of the Sisters of Loretto. The spiral staircase makes two 360(degrees) turns and does not rely on center support, nor were nails or wood pegs used to secure it. It remains today an architectural example of perfect craftsmanship.
