New Web Based AAF Compliant TV Programme Production Facility RPPtv Nominated for Royal Television Society Technology Award
'Interactive Remote Studio' now widely available
11/17/2005 - RPPtv, the dynamic patent pending multilingual Remote Programme Production platform has been nominated for this year's RTS Technology awards.
Clients everywhere, from classrooms and offices to war zones and their own home, can now edit and produce cost effective broadcast AV programmes across any web or wireless location using RPPtv's virtual studio. Even footage from a mobile phone can be turned into broadcast standard programmes.
Developed under the Department of Trade and Industry Broadcast Testbed Programme and market tested under the European eContent Programme, the RPPtv technology enables remote editing and production using new material or the RPPnet motion picture and audio media archive. The range of applications is broad whether mobile or static. Users are allowed access with secure passwords from any online location.
The system is standards based, AAF compliant and includes MDE with metadata authoring, media asset management with an online custom intelligent search and edit engine.
"Organisations can be up and running in hours and it is simple to use", says Will Buchanan, one of RPPtv's founders. "journalists or creatives can remotely edit their own films, teachers and students are able to make programmes in the classroom and of course broadcasters are now able to produce programmes at their own desk whether home, office or at any other location allowing production anywhere with increased cost effectiveness. Global collaborative programme making is now possible."
Any organisation wishing to get this technology up and running should contact Will Buchanan at RPPtv on 0044 (0) 1730 815707 or [email protected] .
The RTS Technology awards will be presented on December 8th. RPPtv have been nominated in the Technology in Content Creation, Capture or Restoration category.
