Live demonstration will feature leading vendors demonstrating end-to-end interoperability using AMWA specifications and MXF in a typical content creation workflow.
Atlanta, GA – October 5, 2009: The Advanced Media Workflow Association (AMWA) has announced that leading providers of products and services to the media & entertainment sector are cooperating in an interoperability demonstration of file-based production and distribution at the upcoming Seminar on Advanced Media Workflows and MXF, October 26, 2009, at the Hollywood Renaissance Hotel, Hollywood California, USA.
The seminar is a pre-conference event for the 2009 SMPTE Tech Conference and Expo and will begin with an industry panel presentation, followed by technical demonstration and end with a Cocktail Reception.
The technical demonstration will show typical processes from ingest to distribution using the recently developed AMWA Application Specifications. These are subsets of the MXF standards that provide for simple and cost-effective implementation of tapeless operations.
Participants in the demonstration include: Adobe Systems, AmberFin, Ascent Media Group, Avid Technology, Cinegy, IBM, Metaglue, Omneon, RadiantGrid, Rhozet (A business unit of Harmonic), SAN Solutions, Signiant and Sony.
